Here at Pure Pursuit, we like to keep a wide variety of vehicles in our Kansas City showroom.
Sure, they all fall under the umbrella of “sport-luxury”, but that is a surprisingly wide niche. Some are
two seat, manual transmission, stripped down sports cars. Some are comfortable, luxury convertibles.
Some are refined, four door executive sedans. And then some are SUVs. But don’t get the wrong idea.
These are not the run of the mill crossovers for running to the mall. We prefer our SUVs to have
adjustable suspension, turbocharged V8s, and adjustable differentials. That’s why every single member
of our team is in love with our 2014 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S For Sale.
There’s a simple reason that everyone is a fan of the Turbo S, and that’s because it excels at
every situation. The combination of power, utility, and comfort is hard to trump. To those speed freaks
on the team, the 570 horsepower V8 is a source of nonstop astonishment. To those who enjoy a quiet
and comfortable ride, the active body control makes rough city streets smooth as silk. To those who just
like the latest gadgets and gizmos, the Porsche has a full suite of toys to play with.
Now, I know there are some of you that think that Porsche building anything other than air
cooled 911s is a sacrilege, but I urge you to try the Cayenne Turbo S For Sale. Because while yes, it is
comfortable, and has plenty of ground clearance, it is still a proper Porsche. Porsche is a company
made of engineers, and they’ve certainly worked their magic on the Cayenne. I would gladly challenge
anyone to try and outrun the Turbo S, in any setting. Ours is even equipped with the Sport Chrono
Pack, which helps you embarrass a lot of the “pure” sports cars. The rate at which it gobbles up broken
pavement is something that truly has to be experienced to be believed. It never feels unsettled or
stressed, it just soaks up any level of abuse you want to levy against it.
That is not to say that the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S For Sale is some hopped up racer. While yes, the lap
timer and paddle shifters certainly assist it on the track, it is just at home everywhere else. If you get
tired of turning laps, and feel the need to crawl up snowy back roads to your ski lodge, the Cayenne is
just at home there. You can raise the ride height, lock the differentials, and just climb your way up. You
can even turn on the heated seats for both front and rear occupants, keeping you nice and toasty on your
adventures. If you’d rather climb desert dunes than icy peaks, you can switch from heated to cooled
seats. Again, this vehicle handles everything.
The interior is all black leather and carbon fiber, in typical German luxury fashion. But just to
spice things up a bit, the stopwatch, gauge cluster, and seatbelts are all colored in Porsche Guards Red.
This tiny splash of color is just enough to break up the interior. Pared to that crimson tachometer are the
paddle shifters that manipulate the absolutely sublime eight speed PDK transmission. The enormous
panoramic glass roof allows enough daylight in to properly appreciate all the nooks and crannies of this
As befits a luxury vehicle at this price point, the electronic systems are very bit as impressive as
the mechanical ones. Of course, you have USB, AUX, CD, and Sirius XM inputs running to the Bose
audio system, as well as your typical bluetooth capabilities. The front and rear parking sensors work in
conjunction with the back-up camera to make navigating parking garages a stress-free endeavor. Also
included is the Porsche Dynamic Light System, or PDLS, because Porsche loves nothing more than a
good acronym. This is an automated range control system for the bi-xenon headlights.
But as important as all the bells and whistles are, the important fact is that the Cayenne Turbo S
feels like a Porsche. The steering is direct and precise, without being either overly sensitive or
artificially weighted. Like all proper racing engines, the 4.8 liter up front never feels stressed. Once the
twin turbos spool up, it pulls relentlessly all the way to redline, just to continue into the next gear. The
key factor in a serious driver’s car is the ability to inspire confidence. The Turbo S excels at this. You
forget the weight you are hauling around with you, and instead focus on perfecting your apexes, and
timing your downshifts just right.
So, yes, it is luxurious, and comfortable, and practical, and rugged, and everything else.
But more importantly, it is still a Porsche Turbo. And it wears that badge proudly.
